I've been saving $$ (sort of ) towards the purchase of a new & faster & more up-to-date computer, to replace my much-loved & much-used Mac iBookG4 laptop... which I bought new in February 2003.

This is April 2009, for you math-whiz sorts.

The poor thing is so over-worked at this point, has traveled soo much, been through so many airport x-ray machines, and has had so much datum pulled onto & off of it, that it's probably a miracle my major issues with it are usually *just* Google Maps shutting-down my Safari app, other programs randomly quitting, and the glacial pace at which it attempts to move through any process at this point.

It also can't handle even viewing DeviantArt pages, let alone being asked to be interactive with them.

Ironically, my grandmother just this week got herself a brand new Mac desktop computer (I dunno what model... whatever is new right now). MEANING she is giving, unto me, her 2 year old Gateway PC laptop & her older color printer/ scanner/ copier.

...MEANING :: I'll now have a computer from which I can upload (scanned!) artwork & digital images to my DeviantArt gallery

And it has a digital version of Solitaire. heh. (Which is pretty freakin' sweet, for a non-Chess-playing Solitaire junkie, deprived of it on her Mac.)
